Based upon very positive experiences of
Fischer Management Consulting (FMB) quality
management systems in Germany, the company group decided to export its
services of health care to foreign countries.
The quality-management
system provides an enormous know-how, that FMB wants to market abroad. The
company group, with almost 2.500 specialized technicians
and care givers -from technicians for orthopaedic services, examined nurses to
specialists for modern wound care procedures- will open a "German Medical Center"
during 2004 in the United
Arab Emirates.
FMB will offer rehabilitation, postoperative care, supply
of technical aids at the point-of-care and educate local health care providers.
The United Arab Emirates offer ideal prerequisites for the
FMB company group, so the vision will soon turn into business.
4.800 physician in
the Emirates studied medicine in Germany and the number of hospital beds
(6,897) is equivalent to Germanys Saarland.
In Dubai, the Medical Center (Healthcare
City) will
open in fall of 2004. A modern health care complex with clinics, rehabilitation-facilities,
colleges and health care centers for the arabian countries.
The government of
the united Arabic emirates wants to bring the standards of local health-care
services to an internationally high accepted level. The annual travelling of patients
to England, America and Germany from the region exceeds almost € 30 million and
will soon be stopped.
The FMB company group fits perfectly into this entrepreneurial and
business minded environment. The company group is not only the largest quality-management
community for health care services in Germany, but has always been the visionary
and promoter for innovative solutions to the German health care community.
First activities to enter the Emirates markets begun
in June and July, 2003 by Fischer Management Beratungs GmbH. Solid market surveys, funding and
project-management belong to the quality-management system within FMB as well
as core marketing activities. Undergoing such a project, standard business
areas like distribution and marketing have to be mastered as well.
In July 2003, the franchise-group donated 50 wheelchairs to
the Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) in Dubai
